Finnela, the AI coach: how she works and how she looks out for you
What she does with you
She starts by getting to know you.
In a first session of about eight minutes you choose where you want to go. Together you decide how you'd like your month to look when it ends, and one single step for this week.
She breaks it down, not you.
If the step feels too big, you tell her and she splits it. If it feels too small, she raises it. You don't have to plan anything.
She remembers what you tell her.
Your name, where you're headed, your step for the week and what you've already done. You don't start from scratch every time, and in your Corner you can see what she remembers and change it.
She takes your cycle into account.
If your cycle is regular and you're not on hormonal birth control, she sizes the step to the phase you're in: smaller on the hard days. If not, she goes by how you're doing.
A weekly check-in and a monthly session.
A one-minute check-in to decide the next step, and a session once a month to close the month and choose the next one. And once a week she sends you a short email.
Write to her whenever you want.
The chat is always open in your Corner, for whatever is going on that day.
She's an artificial intelligence.
Finnela is an AI made by FINNELA LIFE, S.L.U. She is not a person and will never tell you she is. We remind you when you start and, if the conversation runs long, every three hours.
She guides, she doesn't replace.
It's education and guidance. It isn't therapy, it doesn't diagnose, and it isn't an emergency service.
If you write something that worries us.
Before the coach replies, a safety layer reviewed by health professionals reads your message. If it recognizes signs that you want to hurt yourself or that you're in danger, it doesn't keep going as if nothing happened: it shows you help resources for your country (in the US, 988 and 911; in Spain, 024 and 112) and steps back. It doesn't assess your risk or ask you clinical questions. In your Corner, “If you need urgent help” is always within reach.

An AI coach like this one may not be suitable for some minors. If we detect that the person writing is a minor, we give her resources for her age and close the account.
